Website very slow (PRO), free is superfast & menu question

Hey,

I purchased the white pro theme and it is damn awesome, but damn slow as well sadly, updating is a pain and not userfriendly, when swapping to the free version (with the same looks, images etc) the problem is gone.

Menu question:
Is it possible to place the menu on the top of the page?

Thats nothing lol mine is like 12 sec to load. I do have large photo’s but it shouldn’t make it take 12 sec to load. I have other sites with similar images in same location / feature and they aren’t anywhere near that high.

I know its not plugins causing the issue because I don’t even have any on this site yet.

I honestly don’t know what is causing the site to load so slow.

Yeah well. Wirh wp super cache enabled it makes a difference, but still a delay compared to the free version. Sadly when checkingg on my cellphone wp super cache does not make a difference.

Sorry for the experience. SKT White Pro is going to get the speed update tomorrow. I will send you both the update first thing in the morning once its tested from our side.

And yes it will make a difference and will be fast just like the free version.

I just bought the Pro version today and I am having the same issue…very slow compared to free version.  I’m afraid to make any changes in case I have to update.

I made a lot of changes to the site and added them via the custom css box. I just want to make sure before updating what was changed in the code as to not break things. Is the theme structurally the same, were the only changes optimization?

Most of my changes centered around the slideshow and menu area let me know if you think this is going to be affected much

Changes done in theme options and things added in Custom CSS would be retained in update as well. But changes done within theme files like php changes can’t be retained.

Hi,

We have updated the theme.

Given you re-access to the theme till 30th June. Kindly download the theme from here:
sktthemes.net/my-account/ (use forgot password in case you forgot)

Theme Instructions after download:

Kindly visit Appearance>Themes>Activate some other theme for the time being.

Then click on old Pro theme and delete it. Don’t worry deleting the theme doesn’t delete its settings at all.

Then visit Appearance>Themes>Add New and upload the zip you just downloaded of the new theme.

And Activate.

That’s it. Hope you enjoy the updated latest theme.

I updated the pro theme to the “faster” pro theme this morning.  It is a little faster than the last version but still slow to load the first slider image.  I even modified the slider image further to reduce file size.  Free version is still much faster with same image. 🙁
