Right Sidebar

Hi,

I would like to add my recent posts (or “news”) on the right side of the homepage. If possible with automatic updates? I tried to add the widgets post loop and recent posts to the blog sidebar but it didn’t do anything.

Okay the right sidebar: http://sktthemesdemo.net/sktcorppro/about-us/

Go to Appearance->Widgets>Blog Sidebar.
Change the widgets to desired ones to show them as Blog sidebar and other pages sidebar.

If you need different widgets for pages and blog you can use these plugins for widgets: https://wordpress.org/plugins/display-widgets/ (this one is the best)

OR
https://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-sidebars/ and https://wordpress.org/plugins/multiple-sidebars/

Thank you Shri! When I do that the changes will show everywhere but not on my homepage (where I want it) 🙁

Homepage doesn’t have sidebar i think so. It comes from sections (Appearance>Theme Options>Sections).

Or did you set up Homepage as static page?

No I didn’t set it up as static page. What would be a good way (code) to integrate a sidebar on the homepage  in sections?

Hi Anna,

You have to use columns where the side column is smaller than the left one.
