Editing the homepage

Could you please help me with the following? On my website (www.tombraekenkarting.com) i would like to remove some text and empty space (see image)

Also the partner/sponsor section does not work. I use the correct given code and the correct images size but it doesnt work, can you assist me?

Kindly go to Appearance>>Theme Options>>Basic Settings>>Custom CSS Box:

Add this code there:

#teamsection { padding-top:0 !important;}
.news-box { margin-bottom:0 !important;}
.news-content p { display:none;}
